Regulators at BermanTec

The main reason for a regulator is to ensure a steady constant voltage supply. At BermanTec, we offer a wide range of voltage regulators, so let’s dive into these.

Voltage regulators maintain a fixed output voltage, regardless of changes in voltage input or load conditions. Voltage regulators are normally used for AC or DC power conversions. They minimize variation in voltage to protect the device these voltage regulators are installed on. At BermanTec, we sell both internal and external voltage regulators.

There are advantages to both built-in and external regulators. Internal regulators are often more price friendly, more compact and don’t require any extra wiring.

External regulators, however, are currently the industry standard. Since they do not need to be fitted inside the alternator itself, the regulator can be placed at a more accessible location. The alternator wires will not affect the regulator and it does not heat up the alternator, therefore it is much less likely to get worn out or burnt.

Used with Balmar 6-Series Alternators (70A-150A) and Balmar 9-Series Large Case Alts (140A-310A)

Generator Voltage Regulator Original Delco Remy. 24 Volt. BAT – GEN – FIELD.

Generator Voltage Regulator, 4 terminals. 12 Volt, DUAL POLARITY TWO UNIT TYPE.

At BermanTec we sell regulators from a wide range of brands, from the popular Delco Remy series to Ford, Nikko, Chrysler and Prestolite. Our Delco Remy regulators are often used for the bigger Delstar units.

One of our more popular regulators is the original Delco Remy 3501-5025, a regulator for the heavy duty 50DN alternator series, used on transit buses and motor coaches. It’s also sold as a regulator for several Delstar alternator series: the 180, 200, 300 and 400 series. It’s a solid, durable external regulator, with 24 voltage output.

This Ford external regulator R-201, has an output of 6 Volts and is used on ford and Mercury applications.

We also supply several internal regulators, such as the Delco Remy D-1302 with 24V output. It has webbed terminals and is applicable on a range of Delco alternators, such as the 10Sl, 20SI, 30SI and 40SI.

The F-1310 Ford regulator is also an internal model, with 12-volt output and Load Response Control (LRC). It is used on the Ford 3G alternator series.
