One of our most popular products for buses are the 24V, 155A Prestolite alternators 1277A720, 1277A740 and 1277A640, ideal for LDV, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Scania and Volvo buses, with a Cummins or a variety of other engine brands. These models are engineered to meet the high electrical demands of modern vehicles, delivering exceptional reliability and durability, more powerful than the OE 120A and 140A models.
We also stock the Prestolite IdlePro series alternators, known for their energy efficiency and long-lasting performance. With multiple options to suit various models, like the Avi150J1116HP (24V – 190A), these alternators help extend the lifespan of your fleet’s electrical systems.
For Scania engines, we stock the original Mitsubishi alternator A9TU6499 (24V -150A), fitted on their 2013 CityWide buses.
Starting your bus reliably every time is critical, and our heavy-duty starters are up to the task.
We supply original Mitsubishi starters, such as the M9T62671 (24V – 5.5kW) is fitted on several post 2012 models for Mercedes Benz and MAN buses.
For other brands, Prestolite offers a diverse selection of 24V starters such as the brand new VM100R3501SE (7kW) & M105R3131AM (7.5kW) for the Mercedes MP4, or the M90R3548AM with 6.6kW. In the same M90 series, the M90R3544SE is used on buses with DAF, MAN and Cummins engines.
Several large European bus manufacturers are using DAF engines, and Prestolite supplies powerful starter models such as the 860305 with 6.7kW or the newer model 861385 starter for the post-2014 makes. In the same series, Prestolite also supplies the 860506GB 6.6kW starter or the 860508GB 5.4kW variant, used on MAN and Mercedes buses.
For Dennis Elite 2 with Cummins ISBe engine, used in the UK and Ireland, we also stock the powerful HM95R3011SE starter, also applicable for other Dennis ERF ES5 models.

Our 12V universal relays include the standard 24059 for continuous duty, the enhanced 24143, which features silver contacts for improved conductivity (200A continuous), and the durable 24117, which is rubber-coated for added protection in demanding environments. For 24V systems, we offer the 24063 as a standard option, the upgraded 24124with silver contacts for better performance, and the 24063-08, a rubber-coated variant designed for heavy-duty applications.
Additionally, we supply high-quality fuel shut-off solenoids, including the 12V E-0411 and E-0510 models, as well as the 24V E-0421 and E-0520 variants, all of which provide precise and reliable control for fuel systems.
