Prestolite – a reliable Bosch replacement
Prestolite Electric is a global supplier of electrical equipment for the transportation, marine, agricultural and construction industries. It offers a fitting solution to many of Bosch’s alternators, starters and other engine components.
Transportation
Prestolite can replace Bosch starters for bus and coach engines from brands such as MAN, Mercedes Benz, Volvo and many others. One of the Prestolite replacements that is often purchased is a substitute for the 24V Bosch KB-Series. MAN 18.310 and MAN EL222, Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses and Volvo B7L (a single-decker and double-decker bus used in mainland Europe), are some of the vehicles that use this Bosch starter.
For popular truck models like the DAF 95 and XF95, Iveco’s Eurocargo and Mercedes Benz Axor, Atego and 814, the Bosch Starter 231-Series is used. For this model, BermanTec offers robust and durable replacement models in different voltages.
Heavy-duty application
We also supply Prestolite replacement starters for the Bosch heavy-duty QB-series. These 24V, 9.0kW starters can be used for commercial vehicles for brands such as Magirus-Deutz and Poclain, a company known for its hydraulic motors. DEMAG, KHD as well as the GE Jenbacher gasmotors can also be fitted with this Prestolite starter, which you can find here.
