From Delco Remy to Remy international
Delco Remy, now known as Remy International, is a well-known American manufacturer and distributor of both light and heavy-duty starters and alternators. Most of their heavy-duty product line is sold under the Delco Remy brand name (which is actually under license of General Motors).
To prove how good their starters were, in 1909 the Remy brothers sent 2 men on a 9,700 km long journey.
With built-in circuit breakers, Delco Remy starters are made to support any vehicle, from school bus to heavy-duty agricultural machinery. Delco Remy starters are known to be reliable and durable. We offer both original and replacement Delco Remy starters. Below we’ve highlighted a few of our clients’ favorites. The gear reduction 29MT series comes in a 12V and 24V variety, with 9, 10 or 11 teeth. The 50MT series consists of straight drive starters, available in 12, 24, 32 and even 64V. It has the ability to start engines of up to 29.5 liters.
In This 24 Volt starter is equipped with 11 pinion teeth and CW rotation. It’s part of the 29MT series.
Another starter out of the 29MT series, and is often used on construction equipment, trucks, buses and other industrial engines.
This starter is a 50MT model, 24V, 11 teeth, insulated polarity. It’s applicable for use on a range of Caterpillar machines, like dozers, loaders and pipelayers.
Delco Remy alternators are used in all types of agricultural, construction and commercial vehicles. Their alternators are known for being fuel efficient. Their collection spans alternators from 70 to 450 Amp in the 12V and 24V versions.

This 24 V, 50A Delco Remy OE Alternator is part of the 13SI series.
This highly-efficient alternator is part of the 36SI series. It’s insulated, 105 Amps, with a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM continuous.
This original Delco is also a 36SI-series alternator. With negative polarity, it can rotate both CW and CCW.
