Dear Customer, welcome to our April digest.

This month we would like to guide you through our Sesco product range for effective heating solutions.

Support in extreme weather conditions

Freezing cold temperatures affects machine performance. Batteries, hydraulic fluid or fuel lines can freeze, which quickly takes a toll on heavy duty equipment, not to mention the costs incurred during downtime. To keep your engines running in even the most extreme climates, BermanTec is partnering with SESCO to provide engine heating systems for all your heavy-duty machinery.

Always ready equipment

In industries like power generation, data storage and other markets, where having machinery that is always running, or should be ready to start in a moment’s notice is the norm, it is vital to keep your engine at the right temperature range. Our range of heaters include in-block heaters, coolant heaters, fuel heaters and battery heaters for marine, rail, transport and oil, amongst other industries. Read a description of each of our product categories below and click on the links to find more information on our updated website!

In-block engine heaters warm the engine and/or the motor coolant when a machine is not in use to reduce start-up time, save fuel, drastically decrease engine wear and increase the battery life of your equipment. SESCO in-block heaters are installed directly into the water jacket of the engine and are available for most well-known heavy-duty manufacturers, such as Volvo, Komatsu and John Deere.

We now also stock several types of natural circulation heaters, such as tank heaters and large circulation heaters. Tank heaters are typically installed on the outside of an engine, ensuring that the diesel or gas engines are ready to start with minimal wear. We supply the CB series, CL series and WL series tank heaters.

As the generated heat is directly transferred to the fuel or lube oil, these types of heaters are extremely energy effective. On the Bermantec website, you can now find several models, starting from 75 watt, all the way to heaters that support oil volumes up to 120 liters. These models come with a build-in thermostat to protect the oil from overheating.

Battery performance deteriorates significantly at low temperatures. This is due to the reduced electrochemical reaction rate. With the Sesco battery heating pads and thermal wraps, you can also keep your batteries heated and running throughout the winter.

The heating pads range from 50-75 watt output and come in two sizes. They are thermostatically controlled to give you more control over the optimal temperature settings for your vehicle’s battery. Another option to heat your battery are the Sesco thermal wraps. Ranging from 60 to 160 Watts, the wraps prolong battery life by maintaining optimal battery temperature between 16°C and 27°C.
