The 5-ST frame starter is built with a Group III gear reduction system for dependable performance in hazardous industrial environments. Operating at 24 VDC with a 10 HP output, it features SAE3 mounting and multiple gear options, including 12 teeth 8/10 pitch and 11 and 12 teeth 6/8 pitch steel drive pinions. The 11-tooth 6/8 pitch pinion is also available in non-sparking Beryllium Copper. Engineered for safety and compliance, the 5-ST frame starters are CSA Certified for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Group D, Temp T3C locations.
The 5-ST1P6A starter offers a rugged gear-drive system with clockwise rotation (facing the drive end) for smooth motor control. It has a 17 VDC minimum cranking and features an ungrounded case. For optimal performance, the 5-ST1P6A requires a minimum of two size 8-D industrial batteries per starter. Its construction includes a steel-shell stator with silicon-steel laminations and an armature made from silicon-steel laminations. The unit is certified to Temperature Code T4A, supporting compliance in regulated environments.
With a Group III gear reduction system, the 4-ST frame operates at 24 VDC with a 12 HP output and features SAE3 mounting for versatile installation. Multiple gear options are available, with the 11-tooth 6/8 pitch pinion also offered in non-sparking Beryllium Copper. Designed for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Group D, Temp T3C locations, these starters combine durability, compliance, and dependable starting power.
The 4-ST1B2D3 starter requires a minimum of four size 8-D industrial batteries per starter. It is equipped with sealed ball bearings in the motor and a roller bearing on the reduction shaft. Built with a short pinion housing and 1-1/2″ FNPT outlets on the conduit box, the 4-ST1B2D3 unit provides a rugged, secure configuration designed for long-term performance. Rated IP54 and designed for extreme conditions, the starter operates reliably in temperatures ranging from –65° to +160°F (–54° to +71°C).
The USD frame starter offers both direct drive and gear reduction options, providing flexible solutions for a variety of industrial applications. Available in 12 VDC with 4 HP and 24 VDC with 6 HP, these starters support SAE #1, #2, and #3 mounts and come with multiple steel and non-sparking Beryllium Copper drive pinion configurations to suit different operational needs. CSA Certified for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Group D, Temp T4A locations, USD frame starters combine reliability, safety, and versatility.
